CBD oil – what is it and How it is different from Marijuana?

What is CBD oil?

Oneof the major components of CBD is cannabinoid, of the cannabis plant. It contains concentrations of CBD, however, the use and concentration of CBD in the oil vary. The researches across the world are researching on various therapeutic benefits of the CBD oil.

Is CBD a type of marijuana?

The most effective ingredient in cannabis was known to be delta-9 THC or Tetra Hydro Cannabinol.

The Marijuana contains CBD and THC in large extent and both of these have different impacts.

When a person smokes or consumes marijuana in any form, the THC present in it creates a mind-altering impact. This is because when the heat is applied to THC and is introduced into the human body, it breaks down.

However, unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive and does not affect the state of mind of the person who uses it in any form. CBD, however, produces significant changes in the body and researches show it has many different medical benefits.

How does it work?

All the cannabinoids and its products including the CBD produce different effects in the body by linking with certain receptors. The human body also generatesa certain type of cannabinoids and has two cannabinoid receptors known as CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 can be found in the entire body and the brain. The CB1 present in the brain deals in movement, coordination, emotions, mood, memories, pain, thinking, and appetite. The THC from marijuana attaches with these receptors to influence your state of mind.

The CB2 are commonly found in the human immune system. These receptors dealwith pain and inflammation. CBD does not connect with these receptors and instead, it guides the body to use its cannabinoids.
